Rather then going long, as is the custom at Tremblant, they opted for short race this year with 4 x ~20min laps. This is great to keep the intensity high but makes any bobble basically fatal !
So 11th with many spry and motivated athletes ahead of me, and great battles throughout race. Raph Gagne ripped everyone apart, basically from the start on with an awesome group forming to chase most of the race featuring Jette, Hadley, Kindrie and others. Almost had a classic SNPD pacing day with Watson ... think he, and perhaps I, were on pace for a classic 3hr peak performance. With the exception of the pace/duraiton, the day was Especially classic with Mr. Neal looking on from a hidden rock in middle of forest, maybe with water proof paper. Some Speed legs and P.A.M. hopefully make for better sensations this weekend in B.S.P. and back home in Hardwood in 2 weeks. (sign up for pre rides at trek canada cup 2012 here).
