Nude art show that went in in my room last night

All safe and ready to race in Wisconsin Subaru cup this weekend. Tons of people and competition is huge. 3:30 pm start should be fun ... Update last week at home for a bit below!!

Eggs and pancake sim ? Ledtover Curried ( for egg color?) white fish with sweet potato slow fry in coconut oil topped with cinnimon and a wee bit maple syrup

Pad Thai sim - julienne bok choy, carrots, pork, parsnip, home made sauce ( basic pad Thai recipe can google I run lower sugar)

Prep of pad Thai sim

Post drive home and sleep after whiteface 100km ... Breakfast on deck at home, with a Toronto Life magazine and decaf black cat espresso

Hilary swank at whiteface ?

GreAt nude art at lake placid film festival ... Great pre race diversion / time kill and I am sure this art gave a tremendous testosterone boost.

** unique experience to view the remake of Indiana Jones was weird but as went on the development of the real life film makers/actors in the Indiana remake was intriguing. Watching the 10 year olds start the movie and gradually age to 18 year olds playing the same parts, finish the movie shows a progression in resources, intelligence and morality. ***awi did not approve this movie review***

but that's not why I did it. (Lake Placid / Wilmington / Whiteface 100km Leadville Qualifier)

Gotta lead out ... I paced and Nutritione(d) way better this race ... and enjoyed a quick morning bike ride with a few great dudes ... until they team tactic-ed and out road the crap out of me in the last 5-10km vertical mountain/gravel ascent ! (all before 10am in the morning )

http://pressrepublican.com/0300_sports/x9784390/Bishop-rides-away-with-WW100-victory-Sub-Lake-Placids-David-McCahill-takes-sixth

Some great folks met and talked to, possibly Hilary Swank (photo later) , some awesome dudes from New Jersey , Bishop and Adams from Cannondale, Event organizers were great folks (especially Ryan who handed out the Leadville qualifiers and answered all emails, and a lot of other stuff). Lots of great people.

Final bike choice was hardtail 9.9 with super light front tire (xr-0) , top secret beefy rear we will call a revolt and of course Gx2 White Ergon Grips ... So nice to have multiple hand positions for the 80km prologue.

Cool area too, definitely want to go back for some training on the road ... on a road bike or maybe on a mtb to enhance the attacks on the hills off the Lake Placid Tri Course :)

Oh and the Film festival / Raiders of the Lost Ark ... was awesome !

Also watched Hangover 2 over the weekend to make myself sit ... Key line was 'Stay at Home Son' ... awesome

Well adirondack area / Lake Placid is neat area, lots of nature, shops, nice locals ( like my hosts Stef and Michael) and there are literally hills everywhere. In fact, each hill has at least 21 triathletes , and that's about all I have to say about that.

Course is hard dog bone design with 3 extended 40-50 minute climbs ... No single track or trail till about 15 km left. This made a mazda 5 preride pretty complete

but the Trek Fuel wanted to preride the final KOM up Whiteface as well. ** after 2.5 hrs on course either uphill or pavement for most the Fuel got back into the Mazda and told 9.9 hardtail it's racing tomorrow.

Last 5-10 km very steep and loose , making traction huge issue and running in places in last 20 min should make some hammies and quads smile .

Someone said 8 hours for the win I am thinking 4-4.5 for 91 km but we will see. If longer I am going to fuel on bacon , which has been promised by Ergon's Dave Weins, who is the Leadville qualify series director and has won just a few marathon / Leadville type races in his day !

going to check out lake placid coffee and the film festival that is apparently in top 30 in the USA!

Hoping to watch a remake of raiders of the lost ark made on the 80's by 12 year olds

Uh uh. I'm sticking to it

So week off post hardwood to regroup mentally and plan out the next few weeks. Kept it low carb and endurance ... You know

First go at bone broth

Lunch for day out, beef/avocado/pepper/evoo salad and sweet potato and kumbacha, it was on sale and helps the gut as it is fermented (apparently) ... I just felt guilty drinking it in public with it's .5 perc. Alcohol content

Chicken wings!! Seasoned with curry and chili powder ... Also note gluten free chex ... Cool to see , still not good for anyone

Except this guy

- black cat decaf styles from admirals post at blue MTn , had decent americano there but not super atmosphere/vibe

Your wondering, do I have food on my face??

Check out Adam's blog for great couple posts on race and food !!!

http://adammorka.blogspot.com/2011/05/driving.html

Waiting for a picture, any single picture from this latest race in Baie Saint Paul, before I post. I am worried there is a cover up of Large proportion here, will put an inquiry to the AWI conspiracy department when CEO returns. What mud? The trail was ridable ! 2 feedzones ? Highlights were getting to run again and feeling awesome running. As well as talking to Sandra Walter about the similarity the BSP conditions had to the west coast as we rode ( she rode) the sketchy shoots and corners towards finish. Talking with Cam at line is always awsome, he was stolked. Ha, and passing Team mate Mitch while he laughed, smiled and fell at a decent pace around th course ... Really the best way to tackle such a day.

Smile ... ( and cherry whiskey?)
